Blanche Cooper Willis

Blanche Cooper Willis, age 95 of Ferrum passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Lester Willis; her parents, George and Emma Walker Cooper; three sisters and three brothers; and her daughter-in-law, Peggy Blair Willis. Surviving are her two sons and daughter-in-law, Ronald Willis, Harold and Shelby Willis, all of Ferrum; one granddaughter, Rhonda and Mark Hester of Liberty, NC.; two great-granddaughters, Danielle Holland of Ferrum and Brittney Woods of Trinity, NC; one great-great-grandchild, Kyle Dean Holland of Wirtz; two step-granddaughters, Donna Cannaday and Paula Shively; and four step-great-grandchildren. She was a member of New Hope Methodist Church in Callaway. The family would like to thank the staff at Trinity Mission of Rocky Mount and Carilion Hospice. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Billy Shively and Mr. Tommy Barrett officiating. Interment will follow in the Cooper Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
