Bobby Earl Beeghly

Robert Earl “Bobby” Beeghly, 75 of Henry passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at UVA Medical Center. He was born February 23, 1941, son of the late Marvin and Nannie Davis Beeghly. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Nelson. Bobby retired from E.I. DuPont of Martinsville after 29 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend which showed by the number of lives he touched with his cheerful personality. The main loves of his life, after his family, were Christmas decorations and benefit fish fries for the community. He really enjoyed making other people happy! Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Ada Via Beeghly; sons, Earl Beeghly (Regina) and David Beeghly (Jeanette); seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016 with Elder Larry Hollandsworth officiating. Interment will follow in Republican Church Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to Henry Community Center, 5241 Henry Road, Henry, Va. 24102 or charity of your choice. His family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
