Bobby Lynn Hatchett

Bobby Lynn Hatchett, age 72 of Snow Creek went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Linda M. Hatchett; parents, Benjamin and Venera Walker Hatchett; and brother, Buford "Tucker" Wright. Bobby made his living from the land with his family. Tobacco farming was his life and his passion. Bobby also loved his cross country runs driving for Roy Stone and Hatchett Trucking. Bobby loved life, was an extremely hard worker, and believed in the value of a hand shake; your word meant more than any signature on a piece of paper. Bobby loved his family and friends and was always there when anyone needed him. Surviving are his two daughters, Cindy and Cheryl; grandchildren, Phillip and fiancé Tabitha, Ashley, Ben and fiancé Kassie; five great-grandchildren, Destini, Kamora, Hailey, Riley and Amariana; step-great-grandson, David; brothers, Kenneth (Marie), Tony (Kathy); sister-in-law, Florence Wright; special friend and caregiver, Terry; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at Boones Chapel Church of the Brethren 11:00 a.m. Friday with Pastor Mike Gallimore officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boones Chapel Church or to the Snow Creek Rescue Squad. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Boones Chapel Church.
