Bonnie Lois Mcghee Woods

Bonnie Lois McGhee Woods, age 73 of Rocky Mount, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Woods; parents, Milton and Myrtle McGhee; sisters-in-law, Essie Wilson and Jean Powell; and brothers, Dick and Larry McGhee. Surviving are her step-children, Sandy Gentry, Barry Woods and Gary Woods; several grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Carol Stanley, Barbara Ann Lackey, Evelyn Marie Dunman, Janet L. Cook, Doris Faye Blankenship and Linda Jane Elliott; brother-in-law, Billy Woods (Carol); several nieces and nephews. Bonnie was formerly employed at Fleetwood Homes and Lane Company. She loved to bake and care for others, often visiting the sick, shut-ins and bereaved. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Friday with Chaplain Tim Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
