Brenda Kay Hogan

Brenda Kay Hogan, age 59 of Rocky Mount died unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Rocky Mount Health and Rehab. She was born January 18, 1959 in Rocky Mount, Va. the daughter of Jimmy and Virginia Smith Hogan. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Killis and Ada Hogan, Roy and Marie Smith. Kay graduated from Franklin County High School and worked at MW Manufacturers for 17 years. She loved listening to music and watching movies before her illness. Kay is survived by her loving parents, Jimmy and Virginia; her sister, Bonnie Renick (Coy); special brother, Timmy Hogan (Darnell); nephews, Bradley and Shannon Quinn (Leslie), and Dakota Hogan; niece, Seajay Meador (Brian). Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Ricky Hogan officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
