Brent Alan Austin

Brent Alan Austin was born December 26, 1960 in Rocky Mount, Virginia. He passed away at his home in his sleep on Monday, August 5, 2024 at the age of 63 years, 7 months and 10 days. He was married on July 1, 1978 to Sarah Nead.

Daddy spent his life doing various jobs until he went into business for himself finishing drywall and laying tile.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marion Austin.

He leaves behind his children, Jennifer (Mark) Mason of Wakarusa, Indiana, Crystal (Ben) Metzler of Elkhart, Indiana, Duen Austin of Wakarusa, Indiana and Brendan Austin of Wakarusa, Indiana; his mother, Dora Boone Austin; a sister, Donna (Barry) Austin; a brother, Rex (Priscilla) Austin and a sister, Denise (Joe) Hess; 15 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 8, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Old German Baptist Brethren Meeting House, corner of CR 40 and CR 7, Wakarusa.  A funeral service will be held at the Oak Hill Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 10 a.m., Sunday, August 11, 2024 with burial following in the church cemetery. His family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Oak Hill church. Arrangements by Yoder-Culp Funeral Home of Goshen, Indiana and assisted by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount, Virginia.
