Bryan Avery Young

Bryan Young, age 57 of Ferrum passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his dad, Tillman Crook; his mom, Shirley C. Crook; brother, David Crook; brother-in-law and “buddy”, Neal Hodges; brother-in-law, Ronnie Wayne Hodges, Sr. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 ½ years, Lisa H. Young; daughters, Bryana and Kelley Young; grandchildren, Aiden Young, Avery Young, Bentley Abell and Constance Young; special friends, Calvin Furrow, Neil Smallwood and Jeremy Janney who called Bryan “Dad”. Also surviving is a brother-in-law, Jerry Hodges and a lot of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a true “Ford” man. He loved vehicles and talking about the good ole days and times of American muscle. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Friday. Interment will follow in the Crook Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
