Buddy Harold Jordon, age 84, of Ferrum, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018. He also lived in Roanoke for a number of years. He passed away at Roanoke Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He is the retired Postmaster from the United States Postal Service in Rocky Mount, a United States Army Veteran and was an active member of Fairview Church of the Brethren. His family, friends, church and the outdoors were his life. Buddy was full of life and never idle. As his name would suggest, he never met a stranger and conversation came easy. He was a kind and generous man. Buddy had dear friends of all ages and touched the lives of so many that will miss him dearly. Buddy married his high school sweet heart, Louise Young, and they went on to build a beautiful life together. He is survived by his daughters, Robbie Jordon Leffue and husband Richard Guthrie Leffue of Boones Mill and Carmen Jordon Martin of Roanoke; grandchildren, Bambi Danielle Saul and Scott Sallis, Aija Nicole Saul and Matthew Pagans, Erika Michelle Martin, Jordon (Jordy) Thomas Martin; great-grandchildren, Eric Dishner, Taylor Sallis, Evelyn Jordon Pagans and Cole Thomas Pagans; and his nieces, Debra Rakestraw and husband Larry, Carolyn Perdue, Pam Gibson and Edie Robertson. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am on Saturday, June 9th at Fairview Church of the Brethren with Rev. Jeff Wray officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will be receiving friends on Friday, June 8th from 5-8 pm at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount. (540) 483-3835.
