Buford Vernon Hodges

Buford Vernon Hodges, 82, of Boones Mill, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 1, 2020. Born November 2, 1937, son of George and Nannie Hodges. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hodges, son Randall V. Hodges and wife Sue, granddaughter Lindsey S. Hodges, sister Thelma Brown, and best friend Donnie Campbell. He is also survived by step-children, Richard Allen Arthur, Jared Arthur, and Renee Guilliams, and many other family and friends. He retired from Norfolk Southern as a boilermaker. He enjoyed blacksmithing, woodworking, and was an active member of the Franklin County Antique Tractor Club. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Helen Wilcox, Julianna Cook, and Christy Johnson of Carillon Hospice for all their loving care. A private graveside service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park with Pastor Joe Dillon officiating. The family respectfully requests no food.
