Buren Robert Austin

Buren Robert Austin, age 86 of Rocky Mount died Friday, July 6, 2018. He was a member of Fairview Church of the Brethren and he was a veteran of the US Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mae Austin; wife, Ruth Young Austin; son, Brian Austin; siblings, Frank, James, Elwood, Melvin, Leonard, J.R., Lilliy Mae and Albert. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Kim Austin; grandson, Christopher Austin; step-grandchildren, Lance and Hannah Bibbs; sisters, Eunice, Adelle, Ruby Jean; sisters-in-law, Virginia, Vanice and Lynda; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fairview Church of the Brethren Building Fund. Mr. Austin’s wishes were to have no services.
