Calvin C. Jones

Calvin Curtis Jones, age 75 of Wirtz, died Sunday October 2, 2011. He was born September 11, 1936, a son of the late Clarence and Thettie Young Jones and was also preceded in death by his wife Joyce Robertson Jones; sisters and brothers, Mary Lynch, Ruby Robertson, Edith Goins, Grady Jones, Eural Jones and Alton Jones. Surviving are his daughter, Regina Scott(Benson); grandson, William Scott; brother, Sidney Jones; special sister-in-law, Doris Jones; caregiver, Lorraine Atwater; many nieces and nephews. A special thank-you to the nurses and staff of Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital for the care and concern for Mr. Jones. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Halesford Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Melvin Harris officiating. His family will receive friends 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
