Calvin Milton Ludwig, Jr.

Calvin Ludwig (CJ), of Franklin County, passed away unexpectedly on 9/18/2022. CJ was only 33 years old. Our family is devastated and shocked by this loss. CJ was born on 7/13/1989 in Baltimore MD to parents Calvin Ludwig and Cheryl Durst.

After CJ moved out as a teenager, he lived his life partying and having the most fun he possibly could. He worked in different odd jobs, enjoying the variety of life and the thrill of learning new trades. One job he enjoyed so much he donated his thumb to it.

CJ’s hobbies included music, camping, skateboarding, tearing things apart to put back together, and being the life of the party. He was an avid carpenter and passionate about family.

CJ is survived by his four children, Bradley, Destinie, Cali, and Calvin; his parents, Cheryl, Calvin, and Chris; his siblings, Jeremy, Chris, Aaron, Sierra, Samantha, Manny, Codi, and Chayce; his grandmother, Cheryl; his aunts and uncles, Cherry, Chuck, Nickey, and Sandra; and the mother of his children, Tori and Beth. CJ is predeceased by his grandparents, Joyce and Carl.

Services are being held for CJ on 9/24/2022 at Flora Funeral Home in Rocky Mount VA. Visitation will be at 12:00 for Family and 1:00 for friends followed by a ceremony at 2:00. His final resting place will be at Old Liberty Cemetery, Wirtz VA.
