Carlton Wayne Fralin, age 80 of Rocky Mount passed away Thursday January 29, 2015. Carlton was in the United States Army and on reserve duty for 5 ½ years. He was stationed in Germany. He worked for Blue Ridge Transfer and Martin Processing - Ronile. He was a devoted and faithful husband for 55 years to Mary Lou. Carlton raced stock cars on dirt tracks at Callaway and Pulaski in the 1960?s and early 1970?s. He drove for 5 years and won 43 races. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou Weaver Fralin, parents Silas and Mary Fralin, and a son Silas Daniel "Danny" Fralin. Surviving are his children Susan Fralin Edwards, Becky Fralin Silvey and Carl, Rachael Fralin Woods; son-in-law, Cecil "CJ" Edwards; sisters, Brenda F. Brown and Bunny Fralin; brother, David Fralin and wife Wanda; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in laws; grandchildren, Jacob Fralin, Emily Edwards, Brett Fralin, Samantha Fralin, Nicholas Silvey, Olivia Woods, Mandy Silvey; his "special cousin" Wanda Arrington that he thought of as a daughter; aunt, Nellie Kirk; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins; Scooter his Cat. Burial will be private. His family will receive friends 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
