Carol Ann Mullins, age 82 of Glade Hill passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 17, 1943, a daughter of the late Archie and Anna Haycox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil “Bog” Mullins; two sisters, Betty Reid (Hoss) and Mimi Cutright (Marvin); one brother, John Haycox (Kazuko); sister-in-law, Jacqueline Rall; brother-in-law, Al Hunt; and adopted son, Ralph Smith. Surviving are her children, Archie Mullins and Jackie Mullins; two grandsons, Matthew Mullins and Liam Mullins; brother, James Haycox; sister-in-law, Lillian Cantrell; brother-in-law, James Ellis Mullins; long time friend, Buzz Scheffenacker; and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Carol graduated from Abingdon High School. She worked in property management for several years and then started her own, very successful cleaning business for 25 years until retirement. Carol had a passion for gardening. She loved dancing, horses, cats, music and spending time with her family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carol’s memory to the Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue (www.rvhr.com) or to the Center for Dementia Research (www.cdr.rfmh.org). Services will be private. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
