Carolyn Sue Parker, age 71 of Moneta, “died peacefully at home Monday, October 8, 2018 with a smile on her face.” She was born in Waynesboro, Virginia on September 7, 1947. She was preceded in death was her parents C.J. and Virginia May Fitzgerald and her husband, Ken Parker. Surviving are her children, Laura Anne Tomblin (Scott) and Paul B. Caldwell, Jr. (Lydia); grandson, Stephen Puckett; sister, Shirley Flinchum (Robert); several nieces and nephews and special friends; and her fur companion, Little Bit. Carolyn was passionate about quilting and had worked at People, Places, and Quilts in Summerville, SC. She dearly loved her co-workers. Celebration of life has been rescheduled for 4-6 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2018 at Flora Funeral Service. The family would like to thank Blue Ridge Cancer Care & Good Samaritan Hospice for their special care.
