Carolyn Sue Saferight

Carolyn Sue Saferight, age 79 of Rocky Mount, VA unexpectedly passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Morgan.

Born on June 14, 1945, Carolyn lived most of her adult life in Rocky Mount where she taught in the Franklin County school system for over 40 years. Those that knew her, or were taught by her know that she was passionate about teaching and learning and was a lifelong advocate of education. She had a bachelor's degree from Radford University and continued to take classes to further her knowledge all through her career.

She is survived by her close relatives, Billy Fadorick and his daughter, Lori Fadorick of Salem VA, and Linda and Darryl Messenger in Florida.

Carolyn will be interred in the mausoleum at Sherwood Memorial Park. Services will be private. Condolences may be expressed at www.florafuneralservice.com. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
