Carrie D. Hall

Carrie Durham Hall, age 89 of Boones Mill came into this world on July 13, 1925 and left us on Saturday, July 19, 2014 to join her husband, Frank Hall; parents, Riley Durham and Naomi Carter Durham; siblings, Henry Durham, Jack Durham, Fred Durham, Johnny Durham, Lula Jennings; brother-in-law, Omer Jennings; sisters-in-law, Mae Durham, Tiny Boothe Durham; and nephews, Jerry Durham and LeRoy Durham. Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Larry Hall (Carlene) of Roanoke, Calvin Durham (Jewel) of Ohio, Ronnie Durham of Boones Mill, Lewis Jennings (Mary Jo) of Glade Hill, Gloria Green of Boones Mill, Ginni Graham of Boones Mill, Patricia Bailey (Edward) of Rocky Mount, Connie Brumbaugh (Jerry) of Ohio, Loretta Hawmaker of PA, and Monica Austin of Boones Mill; 25 great-nieces and nephews; and seven great-great-nieces and nephews. Carrie was employed with Eaton Yale & Towne Lock Manufacturing and in later years was a loving caregiver to her mother. She was like a mother to all her nieces and nephews, when time arose for any reason she was always there to help and support. Her kind manner and loving heart will never be forgotten. She will be sadly missed but we know how happy she is to join her family in heaven. The family would like to thank Carilion Hospice for their care and support and special thanks to Martha Perdue for her loving care. Friends may visit at the home of Gloria J. Green, 751 Clearwater Drive, Boones Mill from 6-8 p.m. on Monday. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Tuesday with Elder Randy Boone and Mr. Calvin Durham officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
