Cash Gene Cooper

Cash Gene Cooper, age 82, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. He was a loving husband of Betty Jane for 59 years; a beloved Dad of Tracy, Kelly (John), and Matthew (Amanda); a proud Papa of Levi, Sadie, Ava, Opal, Jackson, Jubal, and Amos; and a caring brother, uncle, and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chafe and Iloe; brother, Pedro; and sister, Irene. Cash was a deeply religious man whose walk through life exemplified his faith in Christ. He was a charter member of Furnace Creek Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Furnace Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 between 6-8 p.m. at Furnace Creek Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, VA. Interment will be private in the church cemetery.
