Catherine Frances Robertson Martin

Catherine Frances Robertson Martin, age 89 of Penhook died Thursday, April 17, 2014. She was born May 27, 1924 a daughter of the late John Lewis and Cora Hatchett Robertson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Martin; brother, John Robertson; sister, Lucy Walker; and five great-grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Gale (Wayne) Haskins, Pattsy Stilson, Jane Thompson, Wayne Martin, Ricky (Cheryl) Martin; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger (Mollie) Robertson, Edward Robertson; sister, Shirley Robertson; daughter-in-law, Pat Martin; sister-in-law, Dorothy Martin; special companion, Baxter; many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her caregivers and Carilion Hospice of Franklin County for their care and concern. Mrs. Martin was a long time member of Forrest Hill Christian Church. Funeral services will be conducted from Forrest Hill Christian Church 2:30 p.m. Sunday with Ted Clifton, Minister and Wayne Keith, Minister officiating. Interment will follow in the Martin Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County, Snow Creek Rescue Squad or Forrest Hill Christian Church.
