Cecelia Ellis Lloyd, age 95 of Rocky Mount, peacefully went home to be with her Lord, surrounded by family at her home, Wednesday, February 6, 2008.
Cecelia was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a very caring and devoted part of her church family.
She was preceded in death in January by her loving husband of 70 years, Morton Ogden Lloyd.
She is survived by her daughters, Jane Lloyd Schoonfield, Brick, New Jersey, Elizabeth Lloyd Flanders, Watertown, New York, Mary Ellen Flack, Rocky Mount; her grandchildren, George and Eric Weiss, Matthew and Christopher Edgar; six great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothea Johnson, Santa Barbara, California.
Funeral services will be conducted from Fairmont Baptist Church 2 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2008 with Rev. Leonard Castleman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Fairmont Baptist Church, 1669 Bethlehem Road, Boones Mill, Virginia 24065.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.
