Cecil Eugene Frame, age 78 of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, April 29, 2008.

Cecil served in the Korean War on the USS DH FOX-779 from 1951 to 1955. He served in the National Guard of West Virginia and was the Postmaster of Frametown, West Virginia. He was a faithful member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and retired as a General Construction Carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry F., Sr. and Lucy Keener Frame; son, Harold Eugene Frame; daughter, Deborah Blair Frame; infant grandson, Matthew Eugene Frame; stepson, Kerry Fravel; brother, Burle Frame; sisters, Irene Frame Givens, Marie Frame Martie and Peebles Frame James.

Surviving are his wife, Clara Mae Frame; sons and daughters-in-law, David Byrne and Kathy Frame, Martinsville, Michael Lee and Robin Frame, Bassett; daughter and son-in-law, Carrol Ann Frame and Roger Holdaway, Ridgeway; stepsons and their spouses, George and Betty Arrington, Beverly, West Virginia, James and Judy Arrington, Tony and Fran Arrington, Waddy and Polly Arrington, Lonnie and Beverly Arrington, Robin and Lynore Arrington, Herbert Dillon, Sr., all of Rocky Mount; Ernest Stone, Michael Gaither, Andy Fravel, all of Martinsburg, West Virginia, Ronald and Mary Fravel, Scotty Fravel, Baltimore, Maryland; stepdaughters, Judith Collins, Berlin, Maryland; Gwen Amos and husband Bill, Rocky Mount. Also surviving are six grandsons; four granddaughters; 25 step grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 15 step great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Harry, Jr. and Nancy Frame, Sutton, West Virginia; sisters, Ruth Johns and Virginia O’Dell, Cincinnati, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2008 with Pastor Paul L. Stone officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 1707 Mount Carmel Road, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151.

His family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South
Main Street, Rocky Mount.
