Cecil D. Lynch

Cecil D. Lynch, age 84 of Rocky Mount, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008. He was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church and a local building contractor for many years. Mr. Lynch was preceded in death by his wife, Emily Hudson Lynch; his parents, Posey and Alice McCall Lynch; sister and brother-in-law, Lorene and Wilford Thurman; brothers-in-law, Guy Woody, Hughes McBride, Ben Divers; sisters-in-law, Nancy Hudson Naff, Virginia Lynch. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Charles H. and Lou Lynch; “Gramps” to his grandchildren, Adam, Susan, Kyle and wife Erin; brothers and sisters, Eleanor Woody, Guy and Peggy Lynch, P.L. and Nancy Lynch, Ann McBride; sisters-in-law, Martha Ann Divers, Mary Louise and Raymond Williams, Francis and Lynford Dooley; many beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Rocky Mount Baptist Church 2:00 p.m. Saturday with Dr. Jack Corvin officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the church.
