Cecil Saul Robertson (92) went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, September 16, 2007 at Franklin Memorial Hospital after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.
She was born November 9, 1914 to the late Charlie and Berta Jamison Saul. She was preceded in death by: her husband, W. F. (Billie) Robertson, Sr.; her son, Wilmer F. Robertson, Jr.; grandsons, Brent Grady, Billy Robertson and Gregory Robertson; brothers, W. L. Saul, Artie Saul and Raymond Saul.
She is survived by three loving children and their families: Jean and Samuel Grady, Brenda and B. W. Wright, Jr., and Charles and Marsha Robertson; grandchildren, Lori and Charles Griffith, Anne and Jon Crutchfield, Samantha Robertson, Christy Ryerson, Timothy and Rhonda Robertson, Carla Robertson and Robert Lee Robertson; great-grandchildren Haley, Emily and Maggie Crutchfield and Emma Ryerson; her sister, Marie Saul Abshire; brother and sisters-in-law Bernice and Billy Johnson and Paige Robertson; her special kitty, “Boo”.
Mrs. Robertson was a life-long member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church and faithfully attended until her health no longer allowed. She never lost her love for her God, even in her most challenging times.
The family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to her wonderful neighbors, Fork Mountain Rescue Squad and Franklin County Rescue Squad. Words cannot express the family’s deepest gratitude for her special family of Fork Mountain Rest Home. Their love, patience and constant care were an ever-present blessing in her life.
Funeral services will be conducted from Rocky Mount Baptist Church 2 p.m. Wednesday with Dr. Jack Corvin officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday with her family receiving friends from 6 – 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount and other times at the home of B.W. and Brenda Wright, 5064 Franklin Street, Rocky Mount.
