Cecil W. Webb, age 77, died Monday January 1, 2007 at his home.
He was born January 31, 1929 in Franklin County to the late William Robert and Ella Moran Webb. He was a member of Highland United Methodist Church and a founding member of the Callaway Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Shirley Webb; one sister Lizelle Prillaman; brothers George, Russell, Rufus, John Lewis, Wiley and Flemon Webb.
He is survived by his sons Tony (Lois) Webb, Mitchell (Pat) Webb, Bryan Webb, Bill (Karen) Webb; and daughter Terri (Brandon) Byerly; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law Estelle Akers, Eva Hoy, Evelyn (Lee) Jamison, Frances Stover, and Betsy Guilliams; brother-in-law Jerry (Joanne) Young; and a sister-in-law, Joanne (Alvin) Gibson.
Funeral services will be conducted from Highland United Methodist Church 11:00 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Jeane Dunkum officiating. Interment will follow in the Young-Hale Family Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to Highland United Methodist Building Fund or Youth Ministry, 8535 Callaway Road, Callaway, VA 24067.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday with his family receiving friends from 5 – 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
