Charles Wayne Craven

Joining the many family members who went before him, Charles Wayne "Chuck" Craven, age 67 of Glade Hill left this earth to be with his heavenly father on Thursday, September 8, 2011. Chuck was retired from Schlinder Elevator Company as an elevator mechanic for many years. Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Sue Craven; daughter, Melinda Stout and husband Jamie of Bedford; sons, Danny Craven and wife Marcella of Roanoke, Nicholas Argabright of Roanoke; step-daughters, Kim Riley, Hope Spencer and husband Richard of Rocky Mount; step-son, John Argabright of Roanoke; brothers, Paul Craven and wife Rita of Bedford, Tom Craven and wife Renee of Manassas; grandchildren, Emily McGuire and husband Eric of Roanoke, Hunter Argabright of Roanoke; loving and LOYAL companions/pets, Caesar, Cleopatra and Lexi; and a host of nieces and nephews. A musical tribute of Chucks’ life will be held Monday, September 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from Flora Funeral Chapel in Rocky Mount. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer you make a donation to the Humane Society of Franklin County.
