Charles Roger Mcbride

Charles Roger McBride, 77 of Rocky Mount passed away Friday, September 05, 2014 at his home. Charles was retired after working at Martin Processing and Ronile. He was also a truck driver with Akers Trucking. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sheriff Ralph and Margaret McBride; brother, Hughes McBride; brother-in-law, Bernard Walker; father-in ?law and mother-in-law, Taylor Boone Walker and Julia Bernard Walker. Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years Reba Walker McBride; two daughters, Julie Nix and her husband, Patrick and Betty L. McBride; two granddaughters, Zoe and Ella Nix; sisters-in-law, Anne McBride and Helen Walker; brothers-in laws, Vernon Walker (Dot) and Wilbur Walker(Genia). Funeral services will be conducted at Franklin Heights Baptist Church, 2:30 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2014 with Dr. Stan Parris and Pastor Michael Gallimore officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends 6-8 pm Saturday at Franklin Heights Baptist Church.
