Charles Arthur Smith, Sr., age 36 of Glade Hill passed away Thursday, November 8, 2007.
Charles lived his whole life in Franklin County and enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his children who were his pride and joy.
Charles was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Verlie Carter and Ira Smith.
He is survived by his wife Tammy Smith; three sons, T.J., Dylon and Charles, Jr.; two daughters, Rachel Smith and Kristen Holly. He is also survived by his father, Jody Alton Smith, Sr. and Margaret Smith; his mother, Judy Smith Treadway; sister, Cynthia Haley; brother, Jody Smith, Jr.; sister-in-law, Rhonda; nieces, Crystal Haley and Michelle Cochran; nephews, C.J. Haley and Steve Wray; grandmother, Dorothy Smith; mother-in-law, Ruby Lynch; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. Denver Turner and Rev. Johnny Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
