Charles Robert Spence

Charles Robert "Bob" Spence, age 77 of Boones Mill went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 15, 2014. He was a retired Navy Veteran with 24 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Violet; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Michael Altice, Sheila and Kevin Franks; grandchildren, Tammy Manning, Heather Altice, Brandon Altice, Morgan Franks; brothers and sister-in-law, Jack and Sue Spence, Roger Spence; sister, Helen Rowe; special sisters and brother-in-law, Linda Gibbs, Rosemary Stamback and Lonnie Roop; numerous nieces and nephews; and his much loved church family at Boones Mill Church of the Brethren. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Sunday with Pastor Robert Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boones Mill Church of the Brethren. His family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
