Charles H. Young, Jr., age 86 of Ferrum died Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Woods Young; daughter, Judy Thompson (Billy); granddaughter, Olivia Thompson (Frank Craighead); sisters, Jean Ruth, Margaret Cooper, Pearl Santrock, Betty Blankenship, Josephine Micolupo; numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ferrum Rescue Squad. There will be no visitation.
