Charlie Asher Richardson, Jr., 75 of Rocky Mount died Sunday, June 10, 2007 in the local hospital.
He was born August 13, 1931, a son of the late Charlie, Sr. and Martha Pierce Richardson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Catherine N. Richardson; a son, Dana Keith Richardson; and two sisters.
Surviving are his son, Douglas E. Reynolds, Rocky Mount; brothers, Marshall Richardson and wife Dot, Radford, Willis Richardson, Chesapeake; sisters, Ann P. Halbert, Elizabeth City, North Carolina and Ruth R. Winslow, Norfolk; a host of other family members and friends.
Graveside services will be conducted from Franklin Memorial Park 2 p.m. Wednesday with military honors. The Rev. Rick Poland will officiate.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Franklin County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 147, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
