SINK, Charlie Edward passed on November 11, 2012. He was born on April 26, 1931, the son of Charlie & Sallie Sink. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by Brothers Oscar, Ernest, Alonza, and Jim, Sisters Louise and Vera. Survived by his wife of 62 wonderful years, Madeline Sink, his daughters Sally (Tom), Cathy (Miles), Brenda Charlene (Tim), Becky ( Jesse Jr.), sons Daniel and Keith (Andrea). He also leaves his grandchildren, Brooke, Jesse III, Lillian and Charlie, one great grandson, Jesse IV and special sister in law Frances , close nephew James (wife, Joyce). Charlie retired from Johnson Carper Furniture and Grumman Emergency Products. Following retirement, he became a cherished employee of Brenda's Pack & Ship at Westlake. Charlie was also a faithful member of Mt. Ivy Christian Church. Visitation will be held at Mt. Ivy Christian Church at 5120 Scruggs Road on Wednesday, November 14 from 5pm until 8pm. Funeral and burial will be held at the church on Thursday, November 15 at 11am with Steve Pasley, Minister officiating. The family would like to offer special thanks for loving compassion and care to Dr. Terrance May, Dr. Stephen Lewis, and Nurse Shawna with Carilion Home Health Care, Nurses Janice, Sherri and Brenda with Carilion Hospice and the 8th floor South Progressive Care and Emergency Dept. nursing team at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.And a big thank you to his special fishing buddy CH from Greensboro,NC. The family has asked memorial contributions to be made to Mount Ivy Christian Church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center. Rocky Mount/ Smith Mountain Lake.
