Christine Amelia Jetmar-Saleeby

Christine Amelia Jetmar-Saleeby, 80 years old, resided in Ferrum, Virginia, died with her children by her side at Roanoke Memorial Hospital on September 11th, 2023.

She was born in Manhattan, New York in 1943, the eldest of four children. Christine had many fond memories of her childhood growing up in the city with her parents Walter and Mary Madey and three siblings. She was a caring, loving and beloved mother, “nana”, sister and friend.

Christine is preceded in death by both parents, Walter and Mary Madey, her late husband Dr. Saleem Najeeb Saleeby Jr. or better known as “Doc”, along with her brother John Madey and his wife Janice Madey.

Christine is survived by her sisters, Virginia Ladowski and Dorothy Kowinsky, her daughter Teresa Jetmar and her son James Jetmar, daughter- in- law Jamie Jetmar, grandsons Garett Jetmar, Roman Ciulla and granddaughter Lexa Jetmar, three nieces and six nephews.

Services will be private. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
