Claire Elizabeth Overstreet

Claire Elizabeth Overstreet, age 18 of Moneta, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, January 27, 2022. She was born on May 6, 2003 as the second child to Tim and Heather Overstreet.  Claire, affectionately known to many as “ClaireBear”, was a shining light wherever she was.  She always had the innate ability to sit down and carry on a conversation with adults much older than herself, but she also fit right in with those her own age.  She was a free spirit always on the go and involved in lots of activities such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, and other groups like FFA, church youth group, and National Honor Society.

Claire was preceded in death by one grandfather, William “Bill” Carter. In addition to her parents, she is also survived by her siblings Quinn Overstreet and Hannah Overstreet; her grandparents Ivan & Elaine Overstreet and Jan Carter; uncles and aunts Randy & Kelly Carter and Todd & Jennifer Overstreet; her cousins Bobby Carter, Maverick Carter, Randi Renee Carter, Emma Quinn, Caleb Quinn, and Ava Overstreet; her boyfriend Ethan Poteat, lots of friends and a close group of very special friends including her “bestie”, Jenna Dellis.

A time to visit with the family is scheduled to take place at Mt. Ivy Christian Church on Friday, February 4th, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  A celebration of life service will take place on Saturday, February 5th at 1:00 pm at Mt. Ivy Christian Church, with Pastor Steve Pasley officiating.  Due to COVID mitigation, and at the request of the family, masks will be required for both events.
