Clarence H. Lamkin, Jr.

Clarence H. Lamkin, Jr., age 70 of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, January 1, 2008. He was born February 11, 1937 a son of the late Clarence, Sr. and Rena Young Lamkin. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lois Pearl Lamkin. Surviving are his brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas Lamkin, Henry, Jimmie and Mabel Lamkin, Ridgeway, Bobby and Mary Lamkin, Martinsville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and John Millner, Danville, Ann and Jessie Cruff, Rocky Mount. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Friday with Pastor Albert J. Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday with his family receiving friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
