Clarice Delancey Waldron

Clarice DeLancey Waldron, age 91 of Glade Hill passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016. She was born April 24, 1925 a daughter of the late Hassie and Evie Mae DeLancey. Clarice was also preceded in death by her first husband, L.G. Hudson; second husband, Goodie Waldron; brother Dewitt DeLancey; sisters, Angie Maxie, Ruby Barbour, Estelle Mason and Eva Altice Boitnott; nephews, Curtis Maxie, Kenneth Altice; and niece, Shirley Jean Carter. Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Wilfred DeLancey (Nancy) of Collinsville, Clay Altice (Loretta) of Glade Hill, Joyce Tucker (Bobby) of Hurt, Jan Altice (Colleen) of Glade Hill, Ann Altice of Glade Hill, Justin Altice (Janet) of Martinsville, and Kim Ashley (Chancey) of Martinsville. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Eddie Hawks officiating. Interment will follow in Crossroads Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church, 46 Woodlawn Drive, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount and other times at the home of Clay and Loretta Altice, 786 Old Carriage Road, Glade Hill, Virginia.
