Claudine Kirk Law

Claudine Kirk Law, age 89 of Glade Hill passed away Saturday, August 14, 2010. Claudine was born February 5, 1921 a daughter of the late John Taylor and Dennie Reynolds Kirk. She was also preceded in death by a step-mother, Callie Gregory Kirk; her husband Curtis C. Law in 2002; brother, Emerson Kirk. Claudine was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Audrey Law Buck and husband John of Martinsville; Dennie Law Terry and husband David of Bahama, NC; grandchildren, Stephanie Hodges Lankford of Bahama, NC, Amanda Leigh Buck of Martinsville, John E. Buck III (Johnny) of Martinsville, and Kayla Elizabeth Terry of Bahama, NC; step- grandchildren, Hillary Rose Buck of Greensboro, NC; Matt Terry of Atlanta, GA; great grandchildren, Ashlyn Lankford and Aiden Lankford; step-great-grandchildren, Abigail Buck, Amelia Terry and Madelyn Terry; brothers, Ben Kirk and wife Lucy, James Kirk and wife Frances, Carl Kirk and wife Aldene, Gerald Kirk and wife Betty, all of Franklin County, VA, Richard Arlen Kirk of Martinsville, VA; sisters, Betty Marie Plybon and husband Glynn of Falls Church, VA, Reva Bratton and husband Richard of Roanoke VA; also surviving is her caretaker, Bobbie Phillips who was her constant companion for three years. Funeral services will be conducted from Mount Carmel Baptist Church 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 18, 2010 with Pastor Glenn Voss officiating. Interment will follow in church cemetery. Her family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 pm at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
