Clay Garnett France, 81, of Ferrum, VA died on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Lewis Gale Hospital, Salem, VA. He was born in Franklin County on April 27, 1939 to the late R.W. (Bob) France and the late Lelia Ingram France.

Clay enjoyed several hobbies. His favorite hobby was restoring classic cars. Attending car shows brought happiness to his life. He was good with woodworking. He could repair/restore anything.

Clay is survived by a daughter, Becky Lynn France (son-in-law, Steve Burrows), a sister, Gloria Perdue (Byron).
