Clay Dudley Ingram went to be with Lord on Thursday, April 2, 2015. Clay was born June 11, 1925 in Henry, Virginia to the late Bunyan and Annie Ingram. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, U.B. and Beverly Ingram; sisters, Ocie McGhee, and Louise Ramsey; brother-in-law, Edgar Holley. Clay is survived by his loving wife Bernell Stone Ingram who were joined in matrimony December 30, 1950; son, Phillip Ingram; sister, Marie Ingram Prillaman; sisters-in-law, Algeria Ingram and Faye Holley; very special friends, John Clifford Simms, Beth and Stephanie Simms, Jerry and Tillie Thompson and Debbie Scott.

Clay was employed by DuPont of Martinsville, Va. for 30 years. He was a long time member and Deacon of Mill Creek Baptist Church. After retirement, Clay enjoyed farming, dedicating time to his church, always assisting his family, friends, neighbors, and shut-ins. Clay was very devoted to his many special pets that came into his life.

Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 with Rev. Brian Goard and Rev. Tom Teems officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Flowers are appreciated or donations may be made to The Henry Fire Department, 5241 Henry Road, Henry, Va. 24102 or Mill Creek Baptist Church. His family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
