Charles Clifton “Cliff” Walker, age 85 of Rocky Mount, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 20, 2007.
Cliff was a US Army WWII Veteran serving in the 85th Infantry Division. He was an 18 year employee of Cundiff Tractor and retired in 1988 from Cummins Mid-Atlantic after 20 years of service. Cliff left his mark on the community with his mechanical talents, was known to many as “The John Deere Man” and will be remembered by all as a man with integrity and a kind word to all.
Preceding him in death was his parents Robert Franklin and Roberta Walker; two brothers Herman Walker and Russell Walker; and a daughter-in-law Trish Walker.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 58 years Dorothy; sons Mike, Rodney and friend Ann Hodges; daughter Lisa and son-in-law Ronnie “Rack” James; grandchildren Josh Walker, Eric and Christy Walker, Kristie and Jeremy Adkins, and “Papa’s Sugarbaby”, Olivia James; brothers Lacy Walker, Henry Howard Walker, Bud Walker; sister Elva Cundiff; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Eddie Hawks officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.

His family will be receiving friends Saturday from 5 – 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
