Clinton Young

Clinton Young, age 69 of Callaway, departed this world, to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Friday August 22, 2014. He was born on February 9, 1945 in Ferrum, Va. son of the late John Young and Eunice Young. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson Clinton Wayne Young, two brothers and four sisters. Clinton is survived by his loving wife Ann Young of 46 years; son John Christopher Young, (Miranda); daughters Lois Young, Marie Sigmon (Mike ), Karen Spencer (Jeff Pigg), Tracie Young (Maurice Walker); nine grandsons; seven granddaughters and three great-grandchildren; special sister-in-law Susan Cooper, his special companion Boss. He enjoyed the outdoors and gardening and attended Love of Christ Church. Special thanks to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County. He was a very strong person, overcoming many obstacles and now he is at peace. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday August 25, 2014 at Love of Christ Church with Rev. H.B. Woods, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Clearview Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 til 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Love of Christ Church.
