Clyde Rigney

Clyde Rigney, age 86 of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, May 3, 2016. He was born September 26, 1929 a son of the late Sam and Lillie Hodges Rigney. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Roy “Buster” Rigney, Charles Wayne Rigney, Arthur “Peanut” Rigney, George Cleatis Rigney; sister, Virginia Foley; nephew, Troy Foley; and niece, Sandra Rigney. Surviving are his brother, Sam Rigney; sister, Nancy Thompson; brother-in-law, Alvin Foley; nieces, nephews, cousins and church family. Funeral services will be conducted at Henry Fork Church of the Brethren 2 p.m. Friday with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the Rigney Family Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Henry Fork Church of the Brethren. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Henry Fork Church and other times at the home of Nancy Thompson, 1380 Goldmine Road, Glade Hill, Virginia 24092.
