Connie Sue Rigney Corns

Connie Sue Rigney Corns, age 64 of Rocky Mount died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital from complications of pneumonia. She was born May 20, 1948 a daughter of the late Alonza and Doris Rigney. She is survived by her husband, Lewis Corns; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Allen Willie; brother, Leon Rigney and special friend Debbie Lawrence; sister-in-law, Julie Lawson and husband Fred; nieces, Chris and Barbara Belton, Buster and Brenda Mize; three nephews, Dana and Brandi Willie, Joey and Lisa Willie, and Zane Rigney; great- nieces and nephews, Avery and Erin Willie, Layla and Liam Willie. Connie was also survived by several great-aunts, cousins, special dog, Oreo and many friends at Tanyard Village Apartments. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. John Collins and Minister Buster Mize officiating. Interment will follow in Forrest Hill Christian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Franklin County Rescue Squad, 1488 Franklin St. Rocky Mount, Va. 24151. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
