Cornelius Edwards "Neecie" Bullock, Sr.

Cornelius Edwards “Neecie” Bullock, of Glade Hill, Virginia, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on June 30th . He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sandra Sharpe Bullock, two sons, Robert McMillan “Mac” Bullock and Cornelius Edwards “Chip” Bullock, Jr. and five grandchildren, Cory, Sydney, Paige, Connor, and Mackenzie. Neecie moved to Glade Hill from Richmond, Virginia, after retiring from Shaw Systems Associates. He loved to sit on his porch and enjoy the beauty provided by Franklin County. Neecie was a devoted spouse, a loving father, and a loyal friend. He was proud of his service in the U.S.Navy, serving on the aircraft carrier USS Valley Forge. Neecie loved flying and spending time with his friends, but he loved his family above all else.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5th at Flora Funeral Service in Rocky Mount, Virginia. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Redwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brad Dulaney officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Redwood United Methodist Church Building Fund or to the Southern Virginia Child Advocacy Center. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount, Va.
