Curtis Lee Ashley

Curtis Ashley, age 96 of Virginia Beach, died Sunday February 24, 2008 in Rocky Mount, VA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Bessie Ashley. Surviving are his son Curtis Lee Ashley, Jr. and wife Linda of Va Beach; grandson Lee Ashley and wife Wanda of Bassett, VA; granddaughter Deborah Anglin and husband Mike of Chesapeake; four great-grandchildren Curt Ashley, Cathy Stickel, Christy Nester and Ashley Anglin; one great-great grandchild Xavier Ashley. Curtis retired from Shop 72, Norfolk Naval Shipyard in 1972. His family will be receiving friends Tuesday 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Fort Trial Christian Church, Bassett, VA. Burial will be in Norfolk, VA Thursday afternoon. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service, Rocky Mount.
