Curtis Walter Clayborne

In Loving Memory of Curtis W. Clayborne who departed his life on October 28,2020.

Curtis was joined in holy matrimony to Frances Mattox and through this matrimony they had 5 children Cynthia Clayborne, Bertha (Lenny) Clayborne Craggett, Curtis (Ulla) Clayborne, Ray Early (Tara) Clayborne, Angelia “Boochie” (Roger) Clayborne Legans. Curtis leaves to cherish his memory is his wife Frances, 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, sisters Bessie Clayborne Bond, Barbara Jean Nemo Swaine, along with a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Curtis retired from the Franklin County School System. Curtis worked at the Franklin County High School, Henry Elementary School, Ferrum College, Roanoke City School System and Roanoke Catholic School System.  Curtis had a special love for his family, Golf, LA Dodgers, UVA and he was an avid sport fan.

Graveside Funeral November 5, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at First Mt. Airy Baptist Church, 2095 Truman Hill Rd, Hardy, VA 24101.
