Curtis Reynolds Vaughn

Curtis Reynolds Vaughn, age 88 of Rocky Mount died Sunday, January 9, 2011. He was born October 15, 1922 a son of the late John Thomas and Mary Beggerly Vaughn. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Janie Vaughn and Winnie Vaughn Merricks. Curtis retired from the United States Army with 20 years of service. Surviving are his step-son, Ben Coy Renick; step-grandsons, Coy Lee Renick and wife Bonnie, Randy Curtis Renick; step-granddaughter, Susan Light and husband, Jackson; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Dora Vaughn Hundley; brother, Elmer Lewis “Buddy” Vaughn; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. Mark Griffith officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
