Cynthia Smith

Cynthia Margaret Smith, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on December 12, 2025, at her home. Born on November 7, 1951, in Denver, Colorado, Cynthia—affectionately known as "Cindy" was the beloved daughter of Frank and Rebecca Fuller, both of whom have preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother, Charles Fuller, and her son, Frank Smith.

Cynthia served in the U.S. Army for four years before dedicating forty years of her life to her work as a registered nurse, retiring in 2019. More recently, she contributed to her community as a substitute teacher and fill in school nurse at The Gereau Center. Cynthia made her home in Rocky Mount, Virginia, after previously residing in the Tampa and Clearwater area of Florida.

Cynthia was known for her ability to make everyone feel special, wherever she went. Her warm smile, quick wit, and a remarkable sense of humor brought joy to those around her. She generously shared her wisdom and always recognized when someone needed a friend. Cynthia’s interests included metaphysical practices; she was a practiced Reiki master and had a fondness for crystals, dragons, and all things mystical. She was also an avid gardener, taking particular pride in her moon flowers. Cynthia deeply loved her three pets, with Rio, her loyal dog, remaining her companion for the past thirteen years.

Her family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
