Daniel "Danny" Elijah Turner

Daniel “Danny” Elijah Turner, born September 26, 1950 to the late Dairrell and Meda Turner, lost his long-fought battle of dementia on Monday, May 9, 2022 at the age of 71. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Eddie and Irvin Turner. Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara Shively Turner; daughters, Charlotte Turner and Milissa (Waylon) Hodges; grandson, Kendall Hodges; sister, Bonnie Hudson; brothers, Tommy (Irene), Curtis (Sharon), and Charles (Linda); many nieces and nephews; and over 75 foster children and grandchildren. Danny was a guardsman for six years and also an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a strong provider with a loving heart and a weathered exterior. In honor of Danny’s wishes, there will be no services at this time. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
