Daniel Nicholas (Nicky) Truman, age 64 of Hardy died Friday, May 9, 2008 in a Roanoke hospital.
He was born September 22, 1943 a son of the late Charles Nicholas and Ruth Elizabeth Meador Truman. He was also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Carol Ann Truman; two brothers; and three sisters.
Nicky is survived by his children, Daniel (Phoebe) Truman, David (Yvonne) Truman, Kimberly (Lamont) Gravely; and Nichole (Leander) Wiedener; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Sandra Spangler, Deloris Huff and Sara Jane Chisom; former wife and friend, Linda Carol Howell; numerous nieces, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008 with Pastor Jerry Naff officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
