Darius A. Mcbride

Darius A. McBride, age 71 of Rocky Mount died Monday, April 21, 2014. He was born March 25, 1943 a son of the late O. Page and Edith W. McBride. Surviving are his loving wife of 49 years, Carolyn T. McBride; sons and daughters-in-law, Jonathan (Randy) and Stephanie McBride, Wes and Melissa McBride; grandchildren, Alexus McBride, Chandler McBride and Olivia McBride; sister and brother-in-law, Jim and Betsy Brooks. Darius was a member of Sandy Ridge Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and Sunday School Teacher for many years. Funeral services will be conducted at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Joe Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sandy Ridge Baptist Church Building Fund, 1444 Bonbrook Mill Road, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
